About TinyHumanMD
TinyHumanMD is a free, fast, mobile-first collection of pediatric clinical tools — an interactive immunization and catch-up schedule plus calculators and screeners used at the point of care by clinicians, and by families to understand their child's care.
How our tools are built
Every calculator and schedule is implemented directly from current, published clinical guidelines and primary literature, and each tool links to its source. Core references include:
- Immunization & catch-up: AAP Red Book and CDC/ACIP child & adolescent immunization schedules.
- Bilirubin: AAP 2022 hyperbilirubinemia guideline thresholds.
- Growth: WHO, CDC, and Fenton (preterm) growth standards.
- Kidney function: Bedside Schwartz (2009) and KDIGO CKD staging.
- Decision rules & screeners: PECARN, Centor/McIsaac, Shaikh UTI, Kaiser EOS, PHQ-9, GAD-7, M-CHAT-R, Vanderbilt, EPDS, and other validated instruments, each cited on its page.
Our verification process
Calculator logic is captured as a versioned clinical specification and covered by an automated test suite that fails the build if the implementation drifts from the specified formulas, cutoffs, and reference bands. Before release, tools are cross-checked against their source guidelines. When guidelines change, we update the affected tools and note the revision date in each page's structured data.
Editorial & review
Content is based on the published guidelines above and reviewed against them prior to release. A named clinical reviewer and their credentials will be listed here. To suggest a correction or flag an out-of-date reference, contact us at [email protected].
